Exhibition for Emerging Artists: Opportunity and Guidelines

If you are an emerging artist—whether a student from Grade 6 to 12, a self-taught artist, or pursuing B.A./M.A./B.F.A./M.F.A. in the field of art—this exhibition is your golden chance. The National Art Exhibition will be held on December 19, 20, and 21, 2024, at the beautiful Roerich Art Gallery, Naggar Manali, offering you the opportunity to present your artistic skills on a national stage.

 

Participation Guidelines:

 

  1. Certificate: Every participant will be awarded a Certificate of Participation for the National Art Exhibition.
  2. Exhibition Catalogue: A free catalogue of the exhibition will be provided to all participants.
  3. Artwork Size: For Budding Artists: The artwork must adhere to the A3 size, which measures 29.7 cm x 42 cm. This size is typically used for emerging or beginner artists to ensure uniformity and manageability during exhibitions or competitions.For Established Artists: The artwork size is expected to be approximately 2 x 2 feet (which is about 60.96 cm x 60.96 cm). This larger canvas is designated for established artists, allowing them to showcase their work on a broader scale with more room for expression and detailing.
  4. Medium: You are free to use any medium for your artwork, including watercolour, acrylic, oil, crayon, pastel, or any

     other you prefer.

  1. Theme: Artists are free to choose any theme for their work.
  2. Exhibition Venue and Dates: The exhibition will be held at Roerich Art Gallery, Naggar Manali, on December 19, 20,

     and 21, 2024.

  1. Participation Fee: A participation fee of ₹300 is required for each artwork submitted.
  2. Fee Submission: The participation fee must be deposited in the organization’s account by October 20 November 2024.
  3. Artwork Submission: All artworks must be sent via courier to the organization’s address by 30 November, 2024.
  4. Courier Charges: The participant is responsible for both sending and return courier charges.
  5. Pricing of Artwork: Artists can set the price for their artwork.
  6. Sales Proceeds: In case of a sale, 85% of the artwork’s price will be transferred to the artist’s bank account, while 15% will be retained by the organization to support other art initiatives.
